RedLaser: A top app for parents

Published on | By Miles Skorpen

We’re proud to announce that Babble has named RedLaser the 2nd best shopping app for parents in 2012!

While explaining their decision to feature RedLaser, Babble explained that “there’s nothing quite so empowering as scanning an item in one store, only to be able to race out the door because you just learned the shop next door has a better deal.” We think so too!

You can find the whole list of winners here. There are a bunch of other fantastic apps, including a few that use the RedLaser SDK to become even more useful!

Babble names RedLaser #3 shopping app for moms

Babble, an online magazine owned by Disney, just named RedLaser one of the best shopping apps for mothers. They write:

Over the past year, price comparison apps have been adding more and more convenient features, and RedLaser is a prime example. Scan a product’s barcode to check prices both online and in retail stores near you. If that’s not enough, you can get a food product’s nutritional information and allergen facts, see if a book is available in your local library, read reviews of electronics and games, or send yourself a barcode as an email attachment so you can check it out later. Never has bargain shopping been so easy.

This is the third year in a row that RedLaser has made the list.

We’re also happy to note that GroceryIQ, which topped the shopping category, uses the RedLaser scanning SDK.
